Going to the Chapel...

Whether you are the bride, bridesmaid, or just a guest, tis the season!  Wedding season that is.  And on June 15th my best friend Meagan married the love of her life Tony.
I was lucky enough to not only be invited but also asked to be a bridesmaid. The wedding took place in South Carolina, so you know what that means... road trip!

Our journey started with a 9 hour drive to Greenville, South Carolina.  The Jetta was packed with three of my favorite girlfriends Alicia, Kari, and Gaby. We wound through one of my favorite drives; Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina (briefly), and finally into South Carolina.  We arrived on Friday morning and hit the ground running with nail appointments, lunch, wedding rehearsal, and finally a rehersal dinner at Sassafras Southern Bistro.

Saturday morning came and unlike many brides Meagan was completely calm.  Though if most brides looked as stunning as she did in her dress they might be just as calm as she was.  Jazzed up on champagne, Girl Talk, and giggles we made our way about 45 minuets up the mountain to the Glassy Chapel, one of the most beautiful ceremony sites ever.  Standing at the front of the church was like looking out into heaven.  The glass wall gave an amazing panoramic view of the cliff side, and provided the perfect backdrop to the most lovely and sentimental ceremony.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends Meagan and Tony (finally) tied the knot.  I couldn't be happier for the two of them and their beautiful family.  I am so blessed to have been part of their celebration.
