You've seen them before, towering high heels, little black dresses, crazy high energy, storming the streets on a mission. No this is not a Victoria's Secret commercial, it's a Bachelorette Party. And this past weekend the girls and I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee for our best friend Meagan's bachelorette party. Nashville is one of the greatest cities in the world and when you combine that with a fun filled girls weekend it is a fantastic combination. Nashville has so much to see, do, taste, and experience. The girls and I left on Friday afternoon and were ready for what would be one of the best weekends ever. The first night in Nashvegas (as some call it) we had dinner in the Gulch warehouse district at Sambuca. The restaurant has delicious cuisine, exotic cocktails (I recommend the Prickly Pear Margarita) , and great music which is sure to get your blood pumping.
On Saturday we went shopping for new boots and then sipped on margaritas at our friend Alexa's house resting up for the main event. Meagan's sister Hannah created a Bachelorette Dare Game with a list that we had to try and complete. The winner got a Nordstrom's gift card. So naturally my competitive side came out and it was game on. That night we hit up downtown Nashville and Music Row which has some of my all time favorite bars. The Stage, Paradise Park, and Tootsies are all great places to grab a beer, twirl around with your girlfriends, and hear amazing country music.
When we got ready to get into the cab to take us out that night something amazing happened. Alexa had unknowingly called The Karaoke Cab! The Karaoke Cab is a magical mini van filled with flashing lights and equipped with video monitors flashing the lyrics of whatever song you pick. Oh it also has a microphone. It was the best cab ride of my life.
Our first stop was at the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium to kick off our Bachelorette Bar Crawl with appetizers and drinks. There we met two lovely gents that were the picture of a southern man. Polite and helpful (not to mention handsome). They helped us knock off a few of the things on our bar crawl list such as getting a guy's number, have them buy us a drink, and snap a picture with a guy with a beard. It was a fantastic start to our night. From there we went to the trailer park themed Paradise Park for more live music, good beer, and great company. It was here that Meagan had a guy get down on one knee and propose to her with a beer! We hit a few more great places on the strip and ended the night raiding the hotel mini bar for snacks, giggling about the night and looking at all our goofy pictures. Meagan had a wonderful time and I would say it was a successful Bachelorette Bash!
Oh and yes...I did win the gift card :)
