What the Heck is it? A Bruce Springsteen themed gallery? A Minimalist Bar? A Ned Flanders-esk "E" monogramed devotee store?
Not so much.
What is it is an amazing antique store in the heart of Richmond's Depot District.
Jewelry, paintings, books and hardware. Foster's is NOT one of those places you can't seem to find anything you like. Cat and I saw at least two Native American rings and and old wooden horse we would both loved to have.
Owners Charles and Elizabeth Brittenham-Foster opened shop in the early 1990's, having designed the vintage space with layers of well chosen antique-aesthetics to make you feel like your shopping in a historical landmark.
Do yourself a favor and plan a day-trip to Richmond.
