On Saturday Kelly and I (along with Handsome) set out to Richmond, Indiana for a photo shoot. The assignment was for the Indianapolis magazine After 40 and their destination getaway issue. Now some of you probably have no idea where Richmond is. Allow me to educate you. Have you ever seen the the giant candle on I-70 headed east towards Ohio? If you have then I'm sure you have wondered what the heck is that about? Well that is one of Richmond's largest attractions. Visible from the highway is the Warm Glow Candle Outlet. They have more scented candles than your grandma's house and boast the cleanest restrooms on the interstate (I can attest this is true). Once you get your candle fix you have to be sure to hit up the Joy Ann Cake Shop for the smiley face cookies. This shop has been there for nearly 80 years!. If that doesn't satisfy your sweet tooth then head over to Ghyslain Chocolaterie and Bistro which has delicious treats ranging from chocolate turtles to decadent cakes. And yes they look just as amazing as they taste. If you're into antiquing like Kelly and I then you have to stop by Foster's "E" Street Gallery. This antique store has a little something for every one. Personally I was drooling over their selection of vintage cameo rings. This is just a little bit of what we did during out day trip. It was a successful day of sweets, treats, and photography! Check out next month's After 40 for more photos of beautiful Richmond, Indiana.
